In honor of National Rebellion Day

Jóvenes solistas With the aim of recognizing the entities that have contributed with their unconditional effort to the economic, political and social development of the municipality of San Antonio de los Baños, a political-cultural gala took place in honor of the 66th anniversary of the assault on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes barracks.

Juan Alberto Linares, first secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) in Ariguanabo, highlighted the prominence of young people as followers of the revolutionary work and the ideals of the heroes and martyrs of the centenary generation that, under the guidance of the Commander in Chief Fidel Castro, achieved the triumph of the Revolution on January 1, 1959. He also urged to contribute to efficiency and productivity, substitute imports and save resources, in order to face the actions of the US government against our country.

Several centers of the territory were recognized, including Las Yagrumas hotel, the Municipal Directorate of Labor and Social Security, the Raymundo Valenzuela House of Culture, the Lazaro Peña Tobacco Company, the UBPCs Batalla of Las Guásimas and Ubaldo Díaz Fuentes, the Granja Urbana, the Confecciones Ariguanabo Company, the Eduardo Abela Professional School of Art. The PCC Municipal Committee handed over the organization's card to several workers.

The Amateur Artists Movement participated with the dance group Isadora Duncan, the soloists Rachel, Dessie and Liset Mesa and the Children's Choir of La Dulce Quimera project directed by Professor Rodolfo Chacón. Plastic artists also made a collective mural in honor of the National Rebellion Day.

Representatives of the provincial and municipal PCC, the Young Communist Union, the Municipal Assembly of People's Power, the Council of Administration and municipal mass organizations attended the gala.
