The Ariguanabo Foundation (FUNDAR) in San Antonio de los Baños, on the occasion of World Environment Day has organized a group of conferences on environmental issues, to be held from June 4 to 18, by specialists and scientists from the territory.
On June 11, at 10:00 a.m. at the headquarters of the Municipal Assembly of the People's Power, a conference on birds will be held under the title "State of Cuban avifauna, its affectations and conservation" by Dr. Hiram González .
On Wednesday 12, at 2 pm, the conference "Environmental problems in San Antonio de los Baños" will take place in the Municipal Museum "José Rafael Lauzán", a very interesting topic due to the serious problem of the municipality regarding the hygiene, the conservation of the Ariguanabo river and its Bosque de Galerías.
The conference ''The giant African snail and its presence in Cuba since 2014'', by the MSc. Luís Alvarez-Lajonchere, will take place on June 17 at the headquarters of the People's Power Assembly, at 10 o'clock in the morning.
