On the occasion of the 58th Anniversary of the victory at Playa Girón, a ceremony commemorating the historic event was held today at the monument located on 41st Avenue, in San Antonio de los Baños, Artemisa.
The glorious Battalion 164 of the National Revolutionary Militias departed from this historic place on April 17, 1961, with the conviction that they would fight against imperialism until victory was achieved.
The ceremony was attended by members of Battalion 164 and the Association of Combatants of the Cuban Revolution (ACRC), workers from the Military Sector and the Ministry of the Interior (MININT), as well as members of the Federation of Cuban Women (FMC) and representatives of mass organizations.
