The Municipal University Center in San Antonio de los Baños supports teachers and students who participate in the Local Agricultural Innovation Project (PIAL), a program that trains facilitators to promote the participatory and inclusive management of agricultural innovation in the territory.
The University Center, together with the National Institute of Agricultural Sciences and the Artemisa University, integrates the project according to the needs of the municipalities in terms of development, agrarian culture, productive traditions, knowledge and experiences. Several proposals, with the collective contribution, are carried out through the dialogue between theory and practice, between researchers and producers, with the participation of different institutions and organizations.
The institution's professors are also part of the Multiactorales Management Platforms (PMG), a structure promoted by PIAL as a basis for the operation of the Local Agricultural Innovation System (SIAL).
