Education sector workers in San Antonio de los Baños participate in the process of popular consultation on the Draft Constitution of the Republic of Cuba.
Workers from Domingo Lence Novo Elementary School analyzed several topics. Article 68, which refers to marriage, was one of the issues discussed. Nancy Arrazcaeta, director of the center, said that this article should be reflected in the text of the Constitution since it is everyone's right .
Referring to the principles of educational, scientific and cultural policy, the jurist Dagmari Jaca Seco explained the elements included in the article and the role of educators in the teaching of History, the promotion of sports and culture, as well as the defense of identity.
During the exchange, the teachers expressed that the role of educators is fundamental in the education of new generations, that's why the professional training of teachers is essential in order to guarantee the integral formation of students. They insisted on the need to include in the corresponding subjects the contents referred to the Draft Constitution to bring the students to this important process and make them part of it.
