Cuenteros Forever

The oldest Cuban puppet show, takes us to July 12, 1791, when Mr. Modesto Antonio, from Cádiz, Spain, offers several public performances in Havana.

Since then, puppets and created characters have captivated children and adults. Regarding this tradition, San Antonio de los Baños has a great privilege: to have one of the oldest and most consolidated groups of the Cuban guiñol, ''Los Cuenteros'', founded 45 years ago by the unforgettable artist Felix Santos Pérez Dardo.

The most recent premiere of the group, ''Títeres Forever'', conceived for the adult public, has the originality and energy that have characterized its aesthetics. Such support, not only accredits the Creole taste for puppet theater, but the quality of ''Los Cuenteros'' and its constant devotion for more than four decades.

It is not prudent to expose the intrigues and adventures of the play. I only invite you to enjoy ''Títeres Forever'', written and directed by Malawi Capote.
