Among the activities on the occasion of the Tenth Congress of the Federation of Cuban Women (FMC), in the Urban East Council in San Antonio de los Baños, Cira Alfonso radiated light and was a living presence during the tribute paid to this outstanding woman.
Belkis Rodríguez, general secretary of the FMC in the Ariguanabo highlighted the trajectory of this genuine woman, who stood out in several spheres performed with dedication and patriotism. The participation of guests, neighbors and leaders focused on the admiration for the president of the Committee for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR) and her devotion as a nurse at the Carmen Rodríguez child care center.
Cira Alfonso received awards and recognitions as an outstanding athlete with motor disabilities; she also worked at the polling stations, revealing her greatness and sowing optimism as an example of Cuban women, pointed out Jorge Luis Ramírez, methodologist and inspector of the Sports Department in San Antonio de los Baños.
