The Municipal Museum José Rafael Lauzán in San Antonio de los Baños invites all ariguanabenses to the activity ''En Descarga'', to be held on June 24 at 2 pm at the institution.
''En Descarga'', is an activity organized by the Municipal Museum and the Club Martiano del Ariguanabo; this Sunday will be dedicated to Father's Day. Jorge Gacita and Noelio Ibáñez, among other singers, will attend the activity. The usual sections will take place, among them one dedicated to José Martí on the relations between José Martí and Antonio Maceo. Estela Pérez and Cirio Suarez will be in charge of conducting the activity.
The Municipal Museum of History was founded on December 28, 1980, in compliance with Law 23 of the National Assembly of People's Power. This colonial house belonged to Jesús Tomas Gutiérrez Capote and his last inhabitant was Lolita Gutiérrez, who decided to donate it to the state and turn it into a museum.
On June 19, 1999, in honor of who was the Local Historian for 60 years, it was decided to name the museum ''José Rafael Lauzán'', since on June 23 the first anniversary of his death was commemorated.
