José Clemente Vivanco Hernández obtained the rank of Brigadier General of the Mambí Army. He graduated in Doctor of Law, at the University of Havana, and collaborated with several newspapers. He worked as Secretary in the Assembly of Jimaguayú and participated in "The Invasion Campaign to the West''. Daniel Gispert García was a Doctor in Medicine. As a journalist, he collaborated with the newspaper Patria. He was Chief of Military Health of the Liberation Army, obtaining the rank of Brigadier General.
Vivanco Hernández met José Martí. Along with Major General Serafín Sanchez Valdivia participated in numerous combats and was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Jesús Planas de Cárdenas was a descendant of the family of the Marquis founder of the Villa. He came to live in San Antonio in 1892. He died on July 30, 1896, together with General Juan Bruno Zayas. He held the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Manuel Vivanco Hernández studied the second year of Civil Law when the fight began. Mariano Porto Rivero began to conspire from a very young age. It operated in the province of Las Villas and belonged to the personal guard of Máximo Gómez.
