One of the prioritized tasks of the educational centers in San Antonio de los Baños is the promotion of the study of Marti's thought. According to the Master in Science Taimí Pérez Piloto, Methodologist of the subject History of Cuba in the Municipal Directorate of Education, in all the schools there is the Martí's Cathedra, made up of different educators, where various topics on the life and work of the National Hero are analyzed , which must be studied during the teaching-educational process. Teachers have to be familiar with their life and work, said Pérez Piloto.
In all the educational centers there is the document ''Guía para los profesores de las Aulas Martianas'', where it is specified how to carry out the promotion of the works written by the National Hero, according to the characteristics of each teaching.
In elementary school, the teacher chooses the texts of the Martian Notebook No. 1, according to the ages, interests and personality of the students. The oral reading of stories and the representation of the play Abdala is carried out; besides the students must know the essential elements of Martí's biography.
In secondary school, the teachers will complete the reading and commentary on La Edad de Oro, and then continue with the stories of the Ten Years' War, as well as The Letters to Carmen Mantilla, El Ismaelillo and The Versos Sencillos. When the students finish they will be able to write a synthesis of the life and work of Martí.
In the case of pre-university education, the classroom will have to acquire the intensity of a seminar that includes, through readings, commentaries and dialogues, the principles of Marti's ideology, including his experience as a poet-combatant written on the Campaign Diary.
At all levels and degrees, the ethics and human spirituality that have always characterized our Martí must be highlighted. That is the desire, that children, adolescents and adults are Martianos from the heart.
