Reading: an invaluable learning

The American poet Emily Dickinson said: "To travel far, there is no better ship than a book." Books enchant us with their stories; they are the result of the genius of men and women, who have brought with them the need to write. The reading habit is essential to develop knowledge.

The important thing is that the habit of reading, rather than entertainment, is essential to develop knowledge. Many people claim that the knowledge acquired is one's own, no one can take it away, it is not stolen, nor sold. These friends contain a wealth of words intertwined in numerous texts that allow us to understand the world and everything that surrounds us. Also thanks to them we can travel anywhere without moving or we can be the person we want for a moment.

From the earliest ages, encouraging reading is an important element. Who does not remember those moments when the librarian of the school left us waiting for a new book or the mystery of a literary character? How much do we expect to go to the Book Fair and find the title that the teacher said? How to study everything that appears in the textbook? .....

The truth is that books and reading have always accompanied the human being. We must inculcate the reading habit to young people, especially now, when digitalization and new technologies have overshadowed books. Everything that surrounds us is reading, because reading is communication; it is something we must encourage to raise our culture.
