The Provincial Center of Visual Arts Eduardo Abela in San Antonio de los Baños exhibits the sample ''Grabado en la memoria''. The exhibition is made up of 28 pieces by different plastic artists who live in Santiago de Cuba, Granma, Havana and Pinar del Río.
The exhibited works, (a selection of works that have participated in the three editions of the Belkis Ayón National Collography Contest), are focused on issues related to contemporary society. The Collography, technique used for the elaboration of these works, is the youngest technique within the engraving; and precisely Belkis Ayón, physically disappeared, was a Cuban engraving artist, draftswoman and painter, who worked a lot on this peculiar modality of the Plastic Arts.
''Grabado en la memoria'' is a good proposal of the Eduardo Abela Provincial Visual Arts Center, which you can enjoy from Tuesday to Saturday (12 m - 8 pm), Sundays from 8 am - 2 pm.
