Taking advantage of La Paz del Zanjón, the ariguanabenses founded a distinctly Cuban society, of a democratic nature, where everyone had a place. Under the name of Círculo de Artesanos, represented for the Villa del Ariguanabo, what the Economic Society of Friends of the Country was for Cuba.
As soon as the reconstruction works of the Círculo de Artesanos were completed, after the ravages caused by the cyclone of 1926, the institution was given to develop in the sports field. A large group of young people from Villa del Ariguanabo devoted themselves to the practice of baseball. In the years 1929 and 1930 they obtained their first awards, being runner-up and champion of the Inter Social League. The team included, among others, Messrs. Tonilo González, Mario González, Reinaldo Cordeiro, Motorcito Castañeda, Quilla Valdés, Alberto Suárez, Eduardo Sierra, José Díaz Quintela, and Bambino Espinosa.
In 1931 the sports club of the Artisans entered the Amateur League of Cuba, competing in the field and track; however, the athletes were removed from the club due to disagreements with the League. Years later, they competed in the Social League, without receiving the necessary impulse, due to the uncertain and peremptory situation that the country was going through.
The fervor characteristic of sports and especially baseball, so rooted in the Ariguanabo, caused the formation of the new ninth of the Artisans. With these new ideas, they were part of the Amateur League since 1939. By then, the Artisans took over the municipality's baseball field. That mission was carried out by the members of the Baseball Committee, who obtained a credit from the provincial government for the amount of 1,300 pesos, to transform it into a modern stadium.
Thus, the baseball machinery was being created, granting the Amateur League Champion Award, in 1944, to the Círculo de Artesanos team.
