The Provincial Directorate of the Union of Journalists of Cuba (UPEC) in Artemisa approved a program of activities to celebrate the Cuban Press Day, to be held on March 14. Among the activities, the following stand out: the presentation of the flag to the Artemisa's delegation that will be present at the Congress of Cuban Journalists to be held in Havana in July, the recognition to the journalists who have participated as a jury in national competitions, to directors with recognized journalistic trajectory, and to the most outstanding journalists in 2017.
The celebration of a softball game between the UPEC and the ANAP was approved, as well as a Peña to be inaugurated in March, sponsored by the UPEC, where different provincial, national or international issues will be discussed; In addition, there will be an exchange with students of Journalism and Design of the province. Several provincial agencies will be recognized for supporting the daily work of Artemisa's journalists.
