Tribute to the Hero of Yaguajay

Camilo Cienfuegos. Photo: InternetCamilo Cienfuegos. Photo: Internet The history of Cuba describes him as a simple man, born on February 6, 1932 in Lawton, Ten de Octubre, Havana. Those who love this island, we always remember him as the only and unrepeatable Camilo Cienfuegos, one of the most paradigmatic personalities of the Cuban Revolution. Because of his jovial character and his natural human detachment with the people, he was loved and respected by all.

With his daily work and his dedication to the revolutionary cause, he unconditionally supported the definitive triumph of 1959. He appealed for human rights, justice, equality and solidarity. Granting a song to Camilo Cienfuegos on the 86th anniversary of his birth is paying tribute to the expeditionary of the Granma Yacht, to one of the fundamental pillars that overthrew the tyranny of Fulgencio Batista and the inseparable friend of Ernesto Che Guevara.

Today we pay tribute to this man of legends, to this soldier who became the colleague of the town. Life smiles gratefully at Camilo, who did not die that tragic October 28, which overcame eternally and revived in the hearts of all Cubans. Today, I give my letters and raise my voice for The People's Commander, the Lord of the Vanguard, the Hero of Yaguajay or the one with the big hat.
