The Experimental Station of Medicinal Plants, located in San Antonio de los Baños, maintains positive results by overcoming the production plans for last January. The entity met all the indicators in 2017. It also exceeded the production of anticatarral syrups such as Imefasma and Aloe and the delivery of aloe stems, reaching 147% with respect to the plan.
These productions, belonging to the anti-flu campaign, were marketed with pharmacies in the province of Havana and in the municipality of Güira de Melena, Artemisa. According to the director of the Experimental Station of Medicinal Plants, Carlos Alberto Rodríguez Ferrada, in February the manufacture of these syrups will be maintained (aqueous extract of aloe vera) and raw materials will be delivered to the Roberto Escudero laboratory in the municipality of Boyeros, La Habana.
