The traditional Marti parade, represented by children and the town of San Antonio de los Baños, took place on January 28 at Calle 70, in Ariguanabo. Members of the Association of Combatants of the Cuban Revolution in San Antonio de los Baños opened the parade, escorted by students and workers of all the teachings.
The tribute to the Man of the Golden Age had the coloring and the initiatives characteristic of the children's guild, personified in Meñique, Pilar, Mr. Don Pomposo or the Enchanted Shrimp. Abel González, representing the pioneers, gave José Martí his music and poetry, as well as tenths of his inspiration. In addition, the students Maria Fernández Valdés and Flavia Roque Rivero were awarded, both from the Domingo Lence primary school, occupiers of the first and third place in the Provincial Contest '' Leer a Martí ''.
The homage to the Apostle on the 165th anniversary of his birth was presided over by Jorge Luis Valle Portales, first secretary of the Municipal Party Committee; his counterpart in the Union of Young Communists, Yunaisy Méndez Benítez; Yadira Domínguez Breto, president of the Organization of Pioneers José Martí and Rosa María Rivero, municipal director of Education. Delegates to the Provincial Assembly of People's Power and Deputies to the National Assembly were also present.
