Preparatory seminar for the XXI Congress of the CTC

The Cuban Workers Confederation (CTC) in San Antonio de los Baños will hold the preparatory seminar in order to increase the level of knowledge and training of Cuban workers, prior to the XXI Congress.

The seminar will have a discussion process of prioritized topics, where the participation of the affiliates is massive; it will also draw guidelines for the organic process of the congress. Its objective is to maintain the unity of the Cuban working class, to preserve the achievements of Socialism and to demonstrate the legacy of the Commander in Chief and his Concept of Revolution.

According to Arisbet Aguiar Lazo, General Secretary of the Cuban Workers Confederation in the Ariguanabo, the training includes several topics such as the convocation to the Congress and its repercussion, discussion and analysis in each labor collective, the ratification or election of grassroots union leaders, the process of municipal conferences and the provincial conference.

The XXI Congress of the CTC takes place in a period of historical significance as the 165th anniversary of José Martí's birth, the 80th of the founding of the CTC, in addition, it is the first after 1959 that takes place without the physical presence of the Commander in Chief Fidel Castro, who always ranked the workers as number one priority, for being protagonists of the Revolution's work.
