The Basic Electric Organization in San Antonio de los Baños carried out a meritorious work during the past 2017 in order to offer a better service to the population, fulfilling the work objectives planned for this stage.
The accident rates decrease (Less than 0.5 percent in relation to the previous year).
The engineer Víctor Ramos Iglesias, director of the Base Enterprise Unit in Ariguanabo, stated that during this period there were no work accidents. This was possible due to several actions, including vehicle inspections, safety meetings and examinations on the operation procedure in the network. The inspectors and reader-collectors received training on the resolutions and manuals that establish worker safety.The quality of electric service to customers improves.
During this stage the technical indicators were met at all voltage levels, thanks to the maintenance carried out on the primary distribution lines (high voltage transformers) and secondary (the electric lines located in the territory). The workers immediately controlled the interruptions and the trees were pruned to avoid the occurrence of electrical interruptions. The damaged transformers received maintenance, and important circuits were replaced. This work contributed to the reduction of damaged equipment and allowed the interruptions of the electric service diminished, with respect to previous years.
Investments planned for the year.
Two investments were planned: Finca Monserrate (Agriculture) and SEPO (CIMEX Servicenter).
