Fidel's legacy

The thought and the legacy of the eternal Commander in Chief have universal reach. Cuban education established its foundations with the triumph of the Revolution as a social process thanks to Fidel's projection in terms of literacy and education of all his people. Cuban education is responsible for preserving the legacy and thought of the historical leader of the Revolution.

The first Vice President of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, affirmed that to achieve this it is necessary to study, understand and enrich it with practical activity. The Cuban universities have a high responsibility with the continuity of the Revolution, because a part of those who will decide the future of the Homeland are today sitting in their classrooms; That is why it is necessary to train a competent professional committed to the Revolution and to have a revolutionary faculty that responds to the economic and social impact of Cuban education.

I consider it opportune to always look for ways to keep Fidel's legacy alive, because Fidel, whom many of us had the good fortune to know, taught us to love the Apostle, to preserve his ideas, to believe in human betterment.

Today, when life challenges us to live with the memory of the eternal friend, brother and father Fidel, it must be a primary task to maintain education, which with great effort and dedication has been strengthened during many years of Revolution.

Today more than ever, Cuban education must continue its formative task, because only then, we will be in correspondence with the legacy of the Revolution that Fidel gave us.
