Several transformations made visible the advance in telecommunications in the province of Artemisa and in the municipality of San Antonio de los Baños.
In San Antonio de los Baños, a Minipunto was inaugurated at the beginning of the year. This center makes it possible to connect to the Internet thanks to the navigation room that has the necessary conditions to provide the service. Another possibility it offers is direct attention to telecommunications agents, self-employed workers who support the company in the commercialization, payments and operations of mobile and fixed telephony, as well as the use of @nauta by the network mobile with the national and international mail account.
As part of the refinement process that takes place every year, ETECSA placed a second Wifi zone in San Antonio de los Baños after applying concurrency tests to determine the scope of connectivity. The Parque del Humor was appropriate to become Zone 23; it has three access points that to a large extent report quality to the signal and its connection radius.
The start-up of a radio base with 3G technology was another of the steps taken by the company and the telephone center of the municipality, with an improvement in the services using mobile data.
