Talking about the Domingo Lence Novo school without mentioning him would be absurd. For almost 50 years, the ariguanabense education system has his masterful presence in the classrooms of this center. I mean Enrique Valdés Perera, who lost his name a long time ago, to become the "Kike".
Unfortunately, he was not my teacher of Mathematics, although I remember that in some teachings I received Kike's classes. In his voice, Mathematics becomes easy. Numbers and procedures are combined in such a way that they do not seem to get complicated. Making this subject a useful and practical subject for life, is a distinctive feature of his work as a teacher.
With the passage of time, I trained as a teacher and had the pleasure of having "Kike" as a co-worker, as a tutor; and more than that as a friend. I learned a lot, because for a young teacher teaching Mathematics was a bit difficult. However, his advice, explanations and demonstrations were not lacking.
It was time for his retirement. I had a challenge, to take his place; specifically with Mathematics. I say take his place, because to replace him is impossible. His history and career in this school is impossible to forget.
After a time of rest, this teacher of teachers decides to rejoin the teaching profession. With the same strength and dexterity we still have Kike there, as well as the framboyanes, symbols of this school. Kike's life is linked to the Domingo Lence school and deserves the gratitude of many generations of ariguanabenses who have received and still receive his teachings.
