The municipal plenary of the Science and Technology Forum 2017 took place in San Antonio de los Baños.
The event generated expectations, as stated by María del Carmen López, head of the Delegation of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment (CITMA) in the territory. The official also stated that the Base Forum was held in all entities, however only 74 percent had participation.
In the plenary session they recognized the work of 8 participating centers and 12 were awarded with Relevant status, who will participate in the Provincial Forum to be held soon.
The relevant centers are Confecciones Ariguanabo, School of Medical Sciences, the National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation (INDER), Culture, Education, the University Center, Semilla Enterprises, Tabaco Torcido, Lázaro Peña y the Institute of Tobacco Research, an entity that also received a Special Recognition for its outstanding and stable participation in the Science and Technology Forum as a contribution to the socio-economic development of tobacco.
