Cuba has history, not blockade

Photo: InternetPhoto: Internet For more than fifty years, Cuba has suffered the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States government. Perhaps, the revolutionary triumph in January 1959 was the reason to respond with this cruel, inhuman, illegal and illegitimate policy which has become the longest in history. But the truth is that Cuba, in October, 1868, in La Demajagua, showed the beginning of a Revolution carried out by Céspedes.

The US government on several occasions has strengthened sanctions and extraterritorial persecution against citizens, institutions and companies from other countries that establish relations with Cuba. Time reveals the few intentions to eliminate this genocidal blockade, although on December 17, 2014, Raul Castro Ruz and Barack Obama announced the reestablishment of diplomatic relations between the two governments. It was Obama who acknowledged the failure of this policy and the need to change in this regard. Three years after that meeting, falls on Cuba the weight of a puppet government, which prolongs the rigor of the laws that support it.

Repeat the name of my country, Cuba, a name composed of only 4 letters sufficient to prove that the Island is not and will not be a colony again; that it does not fear the consequences because Cuba rises and along with it Latin America and the world; that it does not understand ''Trumps'' in the plural and that it will remain courageous and revolutionary, defending its history until a change is proposed that begins by overcoming the blockade.
