In San Antonio de los Baños, there have been 21 assemblies to nominate candidates for delegates to the Municipal Assembly of People's Power. Youth plays a key role in this election process.
According to the president of the Municipal Electoral Commission, Lourdes María Arcacha Carballosa, 3 young people have been nominated in the assemblies held. On the other hand, about 215 young people integrate the polling stations, representing 31.5 percent of the municipality's electoral authorities.
The official also stated that the presence of the new generations in committees, polling stations and constituencies represents an increase over previous processes.
Young people are the relay of those who have been in charge of these functions, hence they have been trained to ensure the success of the Cuban election process.
