The 23rd ordinary session of the Municipal Assembly of People's Power in San Antonio de los Baños was held yesterday, as part of the 16th Mandate. The meeting was presided over by the authorities of the Administration Council, the leadership of the Communist Party of Cuba PCC in the territory, the delegates of constituencies and the Presidents of Popular Councils of the municipality.
Several topics were dealt with, such as the accountability report of the president of the Assembly, Mercedes Orozco Ibáñez, who presented, among other matters, compliance with the policy of leaders, as established in Instruction1 of the President of the Councils of State and Ministers, Army General Raúl Castro Ruz. Likewise. Orozco Ibáñez also said that the hygiene and epidemiological situation of the municipality is stable, with the operation of the Command Post to control the Zika cases, as well as mosquito outbreaks.
During the Assembly, it was also analyzed the fulfillment of the budget at the end of the first half of 2017, according to the assessments of the Standing Committee on Labor. This commission verified that the project was not executed for the opening of the Biosaludable Gymnasium in the Raúl Hernández Vidal community. In addition, the work of Public Health, Education, Culture and Sports was reviewed in terms of the work done during the summer.
Finally the leadership of the Municipal Assembly of People's Power in Ariguanabo reported on the activities planned for this month, approved by all its members.
