A brigade, made up of five workers from the Telecommunications Company of Cuba SA ETECSA of San Antonio de los Baños, left for Havana to assist in the recovery of the capital, after the great damages caused by Hurricane Irma.
The farewell ceremony was presided over by Jorge Luis Valle, first secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba PCC in San Antonio de los Baños; Pedro Barreras González, deputy head of the Municipal Administration Council; Mireya del Llano Prieto, first secretary of the Communications Union of the province, as well as other leaders and workers of the Territorial Division ETECSA and San Antonio de los Baños.
Pedro Antonio Rodríguez Hernández, head of the brigade, said: "I am deeply moved by the important mission assigned and very committed to make a great effort to recover the damaged areas and restore the telecommunications system in Havana as soon as possible.''
This Sunday, thirteen workers will leave for the province of Mayabeque. They will also receive our Cuban flag, which reflects the solidarity of the Artemiseños.
