The school is the social institution in charge of carrying out the vocational orientation towards different careers, in collaboration with the family, the community and the mass organizations, in order to train the students based on the main labor necessities of the territory.
Taymí Pérez Piloto, Cuban History Methodologist at the Municipal Education Directorate, said measures are being taken to stimulate students' interest in certain areas, careers or trades. Among the activities are the circles of interest, which favor the development of vocational interests according to the different branches of the economy and services such as Pedagogy, Health, Agronomy, Environment, Construction and many others, taking into account the location of each educational center based on the needs of the territory.
The official added that the information conferences also allow to know the characteristics of various specialties. Photographic exhibits and equipment show the work of a branch or specialty. The professional visits allow students to be linked with the workers.
