The provincial law for the start of the 2017-2018 school year took place at the Livia Gouverneu primary school in San Antonio de los Baños. The ceremony was presided over by José Antonio Valeriano Fariñas, member of the Council of State and first secretary of the PCC of the Communist Party of Cuba in the province of Artemisa. Also present were Caridad Cruz Ávila, provincial director of Education in Artemisa, as well as local and regional leaders.
