No one instilled in Fidel his political ideas, they were the result of his meditations, reflections and analysis of what others did and thought. The legendary warrior of the Sierra Maestra stayed in history as a victorious man. Loved by his people and respected by his enemies, Fidel is a flag and a symbol of humanity. He is the most extraordinary and universal of the Cuban patriots of all time. He will transcend in time, as an example for present and future generations. The young people, inspired by Fidel's imperishable legacy, have the mission of maintaining the supreme interests of building socialism, of preserving the achievements of the Revolution and of continuing to fight for our justice dreams for Cuba and humanity.
During the tribute to the martyrs of the assault on the Presidential Palace celebrated on March 13, 1962, Commander-in-Chief Fidel said: "And what youth do we want? Do we want a youth that simply dedicates itself to hearing and repeating? No! We want a youth that thinks. A revolutionary youth, perhaps, because they imitate us? No!, but a youth who learns by itself to be revolutionary, a youth that convinces itself, a youth that fully develops its thinking. And why do we believe that this revolutionary youth will develop? Quite simply, because it has all the conditions to achieve it, it has all the conditions to develop itself revolutionarily. We do not say that the example is worthless; the example influences, the example is worth, but more than the influence of the example, the own conviction is worth, the own thought is worth. And we know that this youth will be revolutionary, simply because we believe in the Revolution, because we have faith in revolutionary ideas, and because we know those ideas will win the thinking and heart of this youth."

Words that define the current and future challenge of youth, who claim to articulate all the means and forces we have, to strengthen patriotic and moral unity to develop revolutionary values and life patterns.
Our Commander in Chief Fidel Castro, with his revolutionary example and vocation, taught us that young people have the need to contribute to the social process of the country and we must be ready to perform the necessary task. Then, Fidel calls us to maintain the principles of the socialist Revolution and the achievements achieved for more than 50 years, as well as to face any threat from the United States government. To foster revolutionary unity, to offer our solidarity support to those who need it and of course to defend the country, from our study and work centers or our neighborhoods.
Inspired by the personality, life and action of this great revolutionary, who always thought of the future, we will become better human beings and revolutionaries.
