Excuse me, Mr. Trump! After your speech, I remind you that you forgot to say many things. You forgot, for example, that Cuba is free and sovereign, thanks to its own conquests and the people who defend them. You forgot to add that "Operation Peter Pan" was a terrible and heartbreaking episode for Cuban families. Why did not you speak of the Cuban people defending the sovereignty reached against the opposition regime of Gerardo Machado and Fulgencio Batista? I regret to tell you, Mr. President, that your forgetful brain forgot to mention that the city of Miami, full of Cubans, obtained 63 percent of votes against you.
Mr. Trump! Cuba is free to choose its own destiny. Never! Ok, Mr. Trump, Cuba will never allow impositions. Your speech does not scare. The story is there. It accompanies, animates and represents us. The Cuban people do not forget the “Enmienda Platt”, “La Crisis de Octubre”, “Girón”, the air space violations by the so-called "Cubans to the rescue" and other CIA funded actions to create terrorism and fear in the population
It is not the time to review what we already know. It is time to put aside the coercive methods of the past, the intensification measures imposed since February 1962. Those measures, which only cause damage to the Cuban people. After the speech, I can only say like so many Cubans. You're wrong, Mr. Trump!
