Journalist, historian, lawyer and bibliographer, considered the father of the Cuban bibliography.
Working for the promotion of reading, knowledge and research, as a support for teaching and educational work, is part of the daily work of these professionals. Acquiring, cataloging and classifying new materials, creating collections, removing obsolete texts, establishing a policy of functioning in the information centers or libraries where they work, contracting services and subscriptions to print or electronic magazines make the librarian a more useful and necessary person. Cultivating library and information science is the best way to pay tribute to those who preceded the noble work of teaching.
Librarians work in different areas: public libraries or educational institutions, as well as those located in research centers. Also, in the library of a company or in parliamentary and national libraries, responsible for collecting and preserving all the bibliographic production of a country. That is why librarians are useful. It does not matter that they are taken into account only one day. You represent daily and timely wisdom. Thank you for existing!.
