The Ariguanabenses were summoned for a noble and necessary task. Desires and love were founded on a single objective: to clean much of the Ariguanabo River in the urban area.
''Thanks!'', said the river and sobbed for the joy of being free. It sighed and my ears listened to it. There it was, our Ariguanabo River. It ran slow and tired, it sighed at the feeling of knowing that it was still taken into account and loved. The members of the project "Friends of the River'' participated in a morning of sanitation. Dirt, weeds and solid wastes poured into their waters by the villagers themselves were removed from the shores of this friend of all.

Sandalio Camblor González, President of the National Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba, in San Antonio de los Baños; Rolando Méndez, director of the Yawar Group and Osmel Francis, singer and director of the group "Cubanos en la red", met at the Ariguanabo. They wet their hands in the river and untied part of their bonds. They and the inhabitants of the town, added to the noble cause, gave a little faith to the legendary river. Thanks!, said the river and sang like the troubadour Silvio Rodriguez.
This time without guitar, but with shame. Perhaps happy, excited, full of the clamor that led him to say: "With a little love I survive. I survive, sin and captive. With a little love I'm saved, with a little love and I'm something." Those, the dream-makers of this Sunday, muddy their boots, with the mud of the shores. They bathed the forehead, showed the effort in this resistance race, and the feeling let fall tears of love turned into sweat.

Promises fulfilled for a river that cries for its beauty of yesteryear. This time it was worth the effort. Today you are happy, my Ariguanabo River. Tomorrow, perhaps tomorrow, will return by your banks, those who still trust in your rebirth and today they touched the fibers of your heart.
