The baseball team of San Antonio de los Baños, obtained its third provincial title in seven editions of the first category in Artemisa, after winning yesterday to those of the provincial capital, (three runs by two).
The win was for right-hander Israel Sánchez Cuesta, who during the nine innings pitched a great game, (six hits, Juan Carlos Torres' home run, a player in circulation). In that way he became the most valuable of the champions, winning a game in the semifinals against Guanajay and the decisive in the final against Artemisa.
For the champions, captain Osbec Pacheco excelled, (two hits in three innings, both extra-bases, a double, a home run, three men impelled). Andreidis Valle imitated him with two hits. The defeat was for Honny Gonzalez, a worthy rival from the mound of Stadium Julio Perez. The champions played without error and his rival committed a foul.
San Antonio de los Baños ratifies being the best team in the province in top-class baseball, with three crowns, equal number of subtitles and a bronze medal.
