Commercialization with tourism sector in San Antonio de los Baños

Photo internetThe Commercialization Enterprise of Agricultural Products of San Antonio de los Baños overfulfills sales contracted with the tourism sector, so far this year. In the first semester they have a sale plan of 16,000 pesos a month in freely convertible currency (CUC). In January it was doubled, (29,500 CUC) and in February they approached 30,000 CUC, according to Miguel Hernández, distributor of tourism in the entity.

The objective for March is to reach 40 000 CUC, according to forecasts and products demanded. Generally, in this marketing process, the same foods that they supply to Acopio are sold, but top quality, in clean containers and sacks of Mayas, which guarantees that no losses occur.

To guarantee the quality, a project was approved for a profit plant in the entity, to incorporate carton boxes for packaging and more trucks for transportation to distant destinations.

Today they have contracts with hotels in Playa Girón, Viñales, La Ermita and Soroa, as well as with Havana's Palmares Group and the Islazul Chain, which includes the Hotel "Las Yagrumas" of Ariguanabo.
