The Municipal Directorate of Education and Culture in San Antonio de los Baños has limited perspectives for the development of theater in the territory. Art instructors are integrated into the pedagogical groups in favor of the integral formation of the students, says Yunieski Pelier, municipal director of Culture. He adds that they work based on the artistic potential and select some students. They are focused on the movement of amateur artists through the workshops in the schools.
The Ariguanabo’s House of Culture does not have theater instructors, that’s why, the attention to the interests of the community and its presence in spectacles and public acts is insufficient. He insists that the cultural programming of the territory sometimes only includes the theater group "Los Cuenteros", because it is inserted in the activities of the province of Artemisa.
The municipal director points out that at this moment they work with the artistic movements that participated in the pioneers festivals of the territory's school. The best will be present in the Municipal Festival, to be held on March.
