Credits and Services Cooperatives (CCS) Conrado Benítez, Niceto Pérez, Vicente Pérez Noa, Jesus Menéndez and the Agropecuaria Production Cooperative (CPA) Jorge Dimitrov, work on the quality of seeds with the objective of obtaining good results in the harvests, said Heidy Hernández Salazarte, Agroecology, Science and Technical Official of National Association of Small Farmers (ANAP) in San Antonio de los Baños and Municipal Coordinator of this program.
Local agricultural innovation groups carry out different activities, including gender workshops, to highlight women in agricultural work. They also address issues such as the use, management and conservation of seeds and food. These workshops are developed to share experiences and put them into practice. On December 28, 2016, the program developed a floral fair at the CCS Niceto Pérez, where flowers and floral arrangements were exhibited as a sign of the good results of the last harvests.
