Susana Molina, Director of the institution, received the important award which symbolizes the trajectory of the EICTV in the audiovisual festivals by President of the New Latin American Cinema Foundation, Ivan Giroud. Along with her, thirty students of the regular course, not only from Cuba but from all latitudes referred to the 38th anniversary of the school to be held on December 15.

At the ceremony were reminded its founders Fidel Castro, Gabriel García Márquez and Fernando Birri. In 1986, the Commander-in-Chief prophesied: "The school would last what the Revolution lasts, the Revolution is eternal; and its existence was possible only because Cuba is a free country, since a neocolonized country could not have a school like the EICTV.
