Honor to Fidel
The Organizing Commission of the Central Committee of the Party, State and Government for the funeral of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, informs the population that from November 28 (9:00 am - 10:00 pm), In the "José Martí" Memorial, the population of the capital will be able to attend to pay homage to its leader, which will run until November 29 (09:00 am - 12:00 hours).
On November 28 and 29, (09:00 - 22:00 hours), in the places that will be informed in each locality, including the capital, all Cubans will have the possibility to pay homage and sign the solemn commiment to fulfill the concept of Revolution, expressed by our historic leader on May 1st, 2000, as an expression of the desire to give continuity to his ideas and to our socialism.
On November 29, at 7:00 p.m., a mass event will be held in the Plaza de la Revolución "José Martí" in the capital. The following day, his ashes will be taken on the same route as ‘’La Caravana de la Libertad’’ of January 1st, 1959, to the province of Santiago de Cuba, concluding on December 3.
This same day, at 19:00 hours, there will be a mass act in the Plaza "Antonio Maceo". The burial ceremony will take place at 07:00 hours on December 4 in the cemetery of "Santa Ifigenia". It is also reported to our people that ‘’La Revista Militar’’ and ''Marcha del Pueblo Combatiente'' for the 60th anniversary of the landing of the expeditionaries of the Granma yacht, the Revolutionary Armed Forces Day, is postponed for January 2nd, 2017.
