San Antonio de los Baños, Artemisa, Cuba.- The Enterprise Base Unit (UEB) ‘’Servicios Comunales’’ in this territory is immersed in the embellishment of Ariguanabo’s entries. The entries to Alquízar, Vereda and Loma del Garrifero receive the attention of a brigade of more than 10 men who are in charge of veneering, pruning, weeding; as well as planting ornamental plants.
According to Aurora Valdés Gil, deputy director of hygiene in the Municipalilty, the Unit works to guarantee the collection of solid waste in the urban and rural areas and bridges of the periphery. It also works for the elimination of micro-dumps that affect the environmental hygiene of the territory. Servicios Comunales have the input and workforce necessary for the development of this task.
On the other hand, the planting of coffins and coconuts responds to the necessity of avoiding wastes in the zone and to rescue the image that this site had years ago.
