Saving San Antonio de los Baños, Artemisa, Cuba.- In the analysis with the Council of Administration of People's Power, Maribel León Díaz, a specialist in the Rational Use of Energy states that since May the state sector in San Antonio de los Baños behaves unfavorably by consuming the figure of 138.16 mw / h above planned, regardless transformation losses. Adds the specialist that same period meanwhile the residential and nonresidential sectors are below the plan which means a saving.
Maribel said that from November 6, the normal time governs nationwide, so there will be greater use of artificial light from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Consequently, the National Office to control the rational use of energy calls for measures to be taken both at home and workplace to use at that time only the equipment and light needed.
Specialist insists that some measures at workplace are: not using air conditioners, microwaves or electric stoves, also the adjustment of working hours. These are important, but others have been adopted that represent substantial savings such as designing strategies and properly organize production processes to maximize the potential of energy resources in order to make the productions of the month. The measures require readjusting the planning and an intelligent and quick study of the organization of work for each entity.
