Delegates
The third process of accountability will take place from November 1st to December 15t.. Delegates and members of the community will meet in the neighborhood. The ocassion is ripe for the exchange and assessment of the satisfaction level of voters and the answer to the main problems of the territory.
Delegates of People's Power, a result of democracy in Cuba, are chosen from among others on the basis of their merits and prestige within the neighborhood. Each constituency is represented by a delegate who faces the challenge of serving the people and analize their concerns, issues or dissatisfactions. The district delegates test their sensitivity and sense of belonging, from the diagnosis of the area they represent. They are aware of the problems facing the community and the potential that can be supported to improve the inhabitants’ life.
For a successful management, it is essential a close relationship between the delegate and president of the People's Council, as well as directors, enterprises and centers of the territory. The coordinated work ensures to respond to voters. A solution may not always be provided but a response what shows their requests have been taken into account.
