Ariguanabense women condemned the blockade

FMC San Antonio de los Baños, Artemisa, Cuba.- Members of the Federation of Cuban Women (FMC) in this municipality condemned the economic, commercial and financial embargo imposed by the Government of the United States against Cuba, for more than five decades. The revolutionary act, organized by the FMC, took place at ‘’Jose Martí’’ Park of our town. Students, CDR members, workers and retirees participated in the event.

Turned into a real nest against the blockade, women dedicated the day to unmask the subtle policy of the US government against Cuba. The civil society, women, pioneers and other members of the ariguanabense community denounced the interventionist measures taken by the US administration against the Cuban Revolution.

The General Secretary of the Federation of Cuban Women in San Antonio de los Baños, Belkis Rodríguez outlined the organization's confidence in women, who create initiatives in search of solutions to contribute to the revolutionary work. Referring to the consequences of the blockade, other speakers also denounced the unjust embargo which violates the human rights of the cuban people. Idael Núñez, Director of ‘’El Bosque Martiano’’ in Ariguanabo, summoned people to continue the legacy of our heroes and martyrs and not forget history.

In addition, local artists participated in the day against the blockade with an attractive cultural evening. This October 24th women joined the Joven Club to condemn the blockade through internet.
