San Antonio de los Baños, Artemisa, Cuba.- Culture and Education Workers in this municipality presented their papers at the First Colloquium entitled "Cuban Culture, Ariguanabense Culture".
At the Municipal Museum ‘’José Rafael Lauzán’’, participants defended their works covering topics of local history, traditional festivals of the municipality, as verbenas, the most important publications, the work of our beloved tenor Rodolfo Chacón, the fate of the ariguanabense literature, as well as some representative figures of our culture as John Helm Rodríguez (Tapita) and Raymundo Valenzuela de León. Martí subject and its relationship with our tenth was one of the topics discussed at this conference, which also paid tribute to Haydee Quintana, a volunteer teacher of the first group in our country.
This event is part of the activities carried out in the city to celebrate the Cuban Culture Day. Estela Pérez, Director of the Municipal Museum, said: ''the meeting was an excellent exchange where history and culture came together''.
