Breast cancer
Today it is held the World Day Against Breast Cancer. Breast cancer occurs when cells of the glandular epithelium reproduce uncontrollably and very quickly. These cancer cells can go through blood and lymphatic vessels and reach other parts of the body, where they can adhere to the organs and form metastases. The causes of breast cancer are not known. However, specialists have identified risk factors to develop the disease. Age is the main risk factor, because as a woman gets older is more likely to develop this cancer.
Genetics factors: Women with family history of breast cancer have a higher risk. This increases if she is her mother, sister or daughter. Reproductive factors: Those agents that increase exposure to endogenous estrogens, such as early onset of the first rule, late menopause or the use of hormone replacement therapy after menopause increases the risk of breast cancer. Another possible causes are previous breast cancer, ionizing radiation due to exposure to such radiation, especially during puberty, as well as obesity and alcohol consumption.

I think that breast cancer can affect middle-aged women, but healthy lifestyles keep us healthy and strong. Also a breast examination after completing the menstrual period or a mammography that reveals significant changes in the internal structure of our breasts are very important to detect cancer early and eliminate it.
