Your tax does count

ONATONATSan Antonio de los Baños, Artemisa, Cuba.- The National Tax Administration Office (ONAT) has three structural levels. Municipal centers of this organization constitute the third level and have fully executive functions. Today Ariguanabo Radio will approach the work of the ONAT in this town.

At the municipal level and according to statements by Naivys Ramos Rodriguez, Director of the ONAT in Ariguanabo, her office must collect and monitor the contribution of taxpayers. So far the trend of self-employed is rising. While in Artemisa carriers, retailers of food and contract workers abundant, the latter group unlike others do not stand out among the major contributors for their natural condition. Telecommunications agents begin to represent a significant group within the locality.

Not everything is coming up roses

The greater problem of the office is related to debt, mainly with natural persons because legal persons do comply well with the payment of their taxes. Naivys Ramos explains that breaches of natural persons are classified as tax evasion, in most cases related to breach of the monthly payments.

In many cases the difficulties are given due to organizational matters, taxpayers have an address that does not cincide with their current domicile. In this sense an intensive work is carried out by the ONAT together with the National Revolutionary Police (PNR) and identity card office.

New and good steps

Currently, the work of the office in San Antonio de los Baños is also focused on the preparation to responsibly assume the campaign process of tax return, which will officially start in 2017. Revenues contribute to the social benefit of the people, says Ramos Rodriguez, while states that the ONAT in the Humor Villa continues putting emphasis on the territorial contribution for local development, so that collection of the municipality is made with the highest quality. Each taxpayer should become aware of this and know that their taxes do count.
