Ariguanabo Radio Ariguanabo Radio The first steps to establish a station to divulge the life of the Humor Villa were carried out in San Antonio de los Baños in 1971 . So emerged Radio Ariguanabo. With a programming for youth, children, women, peasants, workers and cederistas. Its programming combines music with interviews and cultural and sports themes.

Since 1974, efforts were undertaken to formalize the station. The Cuban Institute of Radio and Television recognized and approved its  professional staff. The the first equipment and a new plant were installed, with a frequency of 1200 kilohertz. From its new location and linked with ''Radio Cadena Habana'', transmissions resumed in November, 1975.

At the same time, training of qualified personnel, especially women, was started in the areas of speech and audio. For these reasons the programming aired between noon and six in the afternoon. Its fundamental work was the disclosure of everything that happened in the municipalities of San Antonio, Quivicán, Guira, Alquízar, Bauta and Caimito. They had a network of volunteer correspondents who sent the information and was processed by the two journalists who were working on it.

In September, 1978, thanks to the support provided by the organs of People's Power in San Antonio de los Baños,  Radio Ariguanabo was inaugurated with its technical equipment and material.
