San Antonio de los Baños, Artemisa, Cuba.- Cuban health system is internationally known. The importance of each area of action is essential. Cuban dentists, including the ariguanabenses did not overlook the Day of Latin American Dentistry.
A special morning dedicated to this event was the simple and powerful way with what specialists of the Humor Villa began the commemorative activities at the teaching dental clinic ‘’Raul Gonzalez Sanchez’’. At the ceremony, a statement inspired by workers themselves was read. The document recognized the collective work, effort and ability to meet the needs of the people. The administrative area deserved a recognition as they rescued with their own efforts the dentures room.
The recent ministerial visit acknowledged the progress of the clinic and its staff. While admitting that there are still things to be done, the improvement and the results are palpable. Ariguanabense dentists are devoted themselves to the work and aspire to get superior results and have its surgery room.
History will not forget
The world celebrates the Day of Latin American Dentistry each October 3th. The date was established in 1925 as an initiative of an Argentine dentist, participating in the Second Dental Congress of the Latin American Dental Federation (FOLA), also opened a day like today but in 1917 in Santiago de Chile. For the Specialists: Zobeida León, Leydis Bella, Rosa González and Noelvis Figueredo, the best tribute to this date and its workers is their daily and continued effort.
