IPVCE ''Mártires de Humbolt 7''
San Antonio de los Baños, Artemisa, Cuba.- Students and teachers of Vocational Pre-University Institute of Exact Sciences (IPVCE) ''Mártires de Humboldt 7'' denounced the US scholarship program ''World Learning''. Jorge Luis Valle Portales, First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba and Alberto Gonzalez, Director of the IPVCE were present in this event.
In this academic center, youth disagreed with this method that United States intends to apply for ideological subversion. Luis Casas, Professor of History of Cuba explained to students the real goal of the scholarship program, which is not only for our country, but for more than sixty nations. Young people expressed their views on the preparation they receive in this prestigious school of Artemisa, where they are taught much more than Exact Sciences and Letters. They also learn to respect the national symbols and the importance of the constant study for their professional future. The results are clearly demonstrated as three of its graduates are winners of gold medals in national competitions. ‘’Humboldt 7’’ also won third place in the competition of Chemistry, Mathematics and fourth place in the competition of Biology.
