CDR's birthday
San Antonio de los Baños, Artemisa, Cuba.- Among flags, posters, badges on the streets and the Cuban flag, members of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR) in this town celebrated the 56th anniversary of its creation.
Many families waited this date with soupy, cakes and drinks to celebrate the birthday of the largest mass organization of the country. The best cederistas were recognized. The area Coordinators, Aldo Antonio Díaz and Luis Tamajón and CDR President, Mercedes Gomez were given the medal for the defense of the motherland and the unity of the neighborhood.
Also, people's councils were declared as ''56th Anniversary of the CDR'' because they met blood donations every month. Scientific meetings, Voluntary Blood Donations Day and routes carried out by youth of the Detachment ‘’55th Anniversary of the CDR’’ are some of the activities developed during this cederista year.
